I’ve previously dined at Winteringham Fields so I was very excited to try top notch dining in a slightly more relaxed and informal setting by a chef with a Michelin background. I wasn’t disappointed, excellent food at a reasonable price. Upstairs seating is up a steep and narrow set of stairs so will not be suitable for those with mobility issues- however there is also downstairs seating so please specify downstairs seating when making a reservation if accessibility is important to you.

New venture for the chef and family. Food very good as you'd expect from a chef who was formally head chef at a Michelin star restaurant. Covers are split over two floors. Choice to select your own dishes 'al a carte' or go for the 'chefs choice' which is a tasting menu. Definitely worth a visit and no doubt will be listed in all the food guide books very soon

I can honestly say this was one of my best meals to date - and it isn’t in London, it’s in little old Louth. Mouth watering food, a friendly and attentive team and clearly a passionate chef. Superb.

Unbelievably great food, no exaggeration, every mouthful was delicious! My meat-eating partner loved his dishes, and as a vegetarian the food was incredible. My only request would be for the menu to have clearer veggie options but the staff were very helpful and vegetarian dishes are always available. Can’t wait to return and try the deserts next time, we were too full to try them today. So glad we gave The Auction House a visit, it’s not the cheapest meal out, but definitely worth it.

Just had a birthday lunch at this new restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. The food, drinks, service and ambience were all first class and the best we've experienced in Louth in the past seven years. The only negative was the pop music from the speaker above our table was a bit loud for conversation, but the waitress turned it down accordingly and checked with us if it was ok, so she turned a negative into a positive. This is not a restaurant that skimps on quality, so it's pricier than other restaurants around, but it is very good value for money given the overall experience and very high quality of the food offerings. 'Menu du Jour' for two, covers all the options, so we tried everything between us. Already booked a return visit with friends. Highly recommended!

Great food made from excellent ingredients accompanied by wonderful service. We opted for the chefs choice of six dishes, one of us being pescatarian, and everything was delicious from fresh oysters through to strawberries and cream... I am under selling it ....every dish was well balanced and full of flavour. Service was not only with a smile, attentive but not over the top, but also providing a full description of each and every course and the elements it contained. A lovely meal, and we will be back when we are next in the area.

This place is the amazing! From the wonderful staff to the flavoursome, inspiring food the Auction House house is doing something really special in Lincolnshire. I took my mum for a belated Christmas gift. We received a wonderfully warm welcome and was made to feel at home. We opted for the 6 course chef's menu. The food really packs a punch and you certainly will not leave hungry. We also ordered a side of chips, mainly because I am greedy......but the God's of food have smiled down on these bad boys. They are the BEST chips I have ever eaten! The beef dripping and bread nearly made my mums head explode, and from start to finish we smiled and waxed lyrical about the quality of the food. The cheese board is a must and the quince jelly is delicious...especially with a nice drop of port. The cocktails and drinks in general are spectacular. I can highly recommend the Yuzu whiskey sour and spicy margarita. The drinks prices have been placed perfectly. All in all this team are doing something really special. You can see the chef's passion and influence in every dish and more importantly the care they have for their customers. I have been to a number of 1 star and 2 star restaurants and this would be right amongst them. This is going to be a place food reviewers and tourists flock to. I have already thought about my next 2 visits. Thank you to everyone on the team for giving us a wonderful and unforgettable evening.
